INTERNET BUSINESS PLAN
I just retired and wanted to start a business on line.
My wife (Ginny) asked a question, “hey great” what is your Internet Business plan?
Frank: (Me) Well. I plan to find something to sell and put it on the computer.
Ginny: No, dummy. You have to set down and write out a business plan. A plan that will tell you how to set up a business, your
goals, your financing, your products. You have to have a plan to go by.
Frank: I just told you my plan.
Ginny: Boy, have you got a lot to learn.
That is the way the conversation went for that day.
Sounds Dumb. But if you haven’t ever been in business or taken business courses in college
then, like me, you are “As lost as a Goose in a Snow Storm”.
What exactly is a business plan, what does it do and how do you get one.
Do you have to have a business plan to get into business?
Create Business Plan
Business Plan. I am going to give you the definition according to Wikipedia: A Business Plan is a formal statement of a set of business goals, The reason they are believed attainable, And the Plan for reaching those goals.
You develop a Business Plan as a kind of “Map”. A direction. A way to get there and what you will do to achieve your goal. This tells every body “Your Plan of Action”.
Business Goals
Start by writing down, what I call Steps.
Now. Be Specific and no, “I might do it this way” kind of thing. Don’t write down I want to raise 10,000.00. Be more specific. “I want to raise $10,000.00 by June 1st”. Now that is a Goal. Something you can look at and keep striving for.
Be Realistic
Be Realistic when you are writing down goals. They have to be achievable. You have to be able to get there.
If you say I want to make 100,000 a month, well, have you really made that much in a year? Write down a goal that you can conceivably reach. Something you feel that can really be done.
Consider these factors when Setting Goals
Your Income.
Sit down and calculate your finances. How much do you need to have coming in every month for the next year and five years after that.
How about where you like to work. Like, outdoors, office environment, computers, phone?
Self Evaluation
Hey. This could be a biggie. Very prestigious being in your very own business. But in goal setting the most important thing to remember is Honesty. Be honest with your self and start by having your eyes open about what is your strong points and your weak points. This will help with so many decisions that have to be made in a day.
How long should I plan for?
It varies.
I plan one year, 2 years and 5 years.
Long term Goals are about 5 years, and Short term goals can be as short as 30 days. How do you want to set it up?
Remember.
These Goals are not set in stone. Make them achievable, realistic, and adjustable to your needs. This is a plan of action and is adjustable.
This is a goal for you to work for and is Your Plan Of Action.
